We have arrived at Lazy L&L and the party prep is coming together! This is a very cool park, out in the middle of nowhere. It is quiet, the stars are abundant, and the river runs right below us. What the hell more do we need!?!!?!

Couple of things for getting here. I highly suggest taking the Dallas route from the Lazy L&L website. Taking FM306 up to FM 2673 and take a left, then a left on River Road. River Road is a bit tight and windy, but I took it easy with 65' of rig. Posted speed limit is mostly 20mph. Follow your GPS and look for the Lazy L&L entrance. There is a sign just before a weight limited bridge, but keep going. It is obvious when you get to the entrance, and your GPS should be dead on.

Once you arrive, drive on in. No need to stop at the office to check in. Follow the road back, staying to the right as you come down the road. We are in site 146, which is right here. We get the Pavilion 2 (P2 on the map), as well as a couple of meeting rooms if we want the.

Cell service is OK, not super strong tho. I have my antenna and booster going. We are pretty close to the wifi antenna, but in the back of my coach it is a little weak. If you have an antenna, that would be best. Otherwise, I am working off the wifi and it is fine.

We did some food and and Happy Hour! shopping today, and things are looking good. Get on out here so the good times can begin!

ahem, for those of us without a GPS, do the same directions apply?

I looked up my cell provider coverage map and that park is a total dead zone for us. Talk about ruffing it!

Can't wait to see you guys. We still need to get liquor (got beer & wine). Any requests?

umm.... without GPS??? Wow, hadn't even thought about that possibility....

Yes, exit 1-35 onto FM306 and go about 12 miles to the light at FM 2673 and make a left. You will drive through the little town of Sattler, where you will find a grocery store and liquor store (we stocked up for the group, so bring something if you have a fave - otherwise we are good). Turn left on River Road at the light. Yahoo and Google suggest taking a turn before River Road and cutting over on a side street. If you go that way, you will pass the one grocery store.

River Road will be about 2-2.5 miles, depending on where you turn onto it. It is pretty tight, and worth going slow. There are a couple of signs as you are approaching, and the entrance is on the right, just before a big turn (you will see yellow directional arrows for the turn, then the park entrance).

You guys be here today or tomorrow?

Update on the arrival information - if you arrive before 4:00, stop in at the front office and they will give you a tag and let you know where we are. Arriving after that - drive back and just follow the laughter and glasses clinking - that will be us!
