We are starting our full time experience in a 2009 Tiffin Phaeton 40' QTH.  It has the 360 Cummins with the 6 spd elect Allison Trany.  It lacks nothing we wanted.  I justed ordered and install, DIY, a King Dome Sat antenna.  Wasn't a complicated job since the rig already had the coax ran for dual LNB.  Only had to drill one hole of any consequence in the roof.  Saved almost $400.  Now it is complete and we are on the road for the next 8 months.  So far we have had no problems and are enjoying it tremendously.  As we found out, it is definitely a buyers market. Take Care, God Bless and Enjoy the Life.

Wow - you do it right!! Rolling in the '09 Phaeton is no trivial thing - beautiful coach!!

Nice job on the DIY install. I have considered the same, but always stress about punching some holes in the roof. Call me chicken :)

Hope we can meet up down the road sometime!! (and you can help ME do an install!)

I have washboard abs. They are just hidden under 50#s of laundry.

The secret to a good install with no leaks is lots of goop in the right places. LOL

Well, we have now been on the road for about a month and 1/2.  We've been to Brownsville, Harlingen, South Padre Island, Corpus Christi and we are now at the Lake Conroe Thousand Trails Resort.  Great place!! Getting from Corpus to here was an harrowing event, trying to get through Houston on 59 and 45 was not a nice driving experience.  Then, when we got through Houston to close out the last 40 miles to Conroe, we hit stop and go traffic causing us to take 2 1/2 hours to cover that 40 miles. Fun Fun Fun.  Somebody had left their truck and trailer parked in the middle of I-45 and just left it there.  Over and above, blowing up the car before we left, the satellite quitting on us, and springing water leaks, it has been every bit of the fun we thought it would be and are looking forward to the next 6 1/2 months.  Safe trip all and may the wind always be at your back (I have been bucking it since I left)
