Hi there.. first of all, thank you all for coming together to form this great community. It's been exactly what we've been looking for!

We're  Cherie and Chris, and we've been full-timing together for almost 2 years.  Chris started in April 2006 in a 16' T@B teardrop (after giving up his apartment in San Francisco), and then we met each other soon after.  We did 7 months in 2007 traveling together in the T@B, and then decided we wanted to continue on. So, deciding that 16' was just way too small for two long term - we commissioned having a 17' fiberglass trailer custom made for us.

We're both mid-30s, and tech professionals. I run a software development company, and together we do various tech consulting as we travel.  We've been greatly inspired by the original technomad - Steve Roberts (www.microship.com), and have taken on the name Technomadia in honor of him.

We utilize cellular broadband with our cell phone booster system, have solar panels and inverter for our power needs.  We try to stay off grid when possible.

We also go to Burning Man, and host a camp for other nomads.  If you're inclined to go to .. let us know, we'd love to have you join our camp.

Wonderful to be here, and we look forward to crossing paths with all of you - whether digitally or in person.

Great to have you guys here!

Funny story how I "almost" met Cherie and Chris - I had found them on Twitter and was following them. They posted that they were boarding a cruise ship in Cape Canaveral, and I happen to be bangin code in my office - at Jetty Park in Cape Canaveral! We shot a couple of messages back and forth, and I told them to look for me as they went by.

They put out a tweet that the ship was leaving, so I told them to keep an eye out for me. I went on the roof of the MH and took some pics as they went by. Went back inside and they had said they saw me on the roof! haha - lame story, but cool in a super-geek kind of way. Here is a pic I sent up to TwitPic so they could see themselves leaving - http://twitpic.com/17kzn

Welcome you two - great to have you here. The NuRVers community is growing every day with great people. Some day we will gather the tribe in a big way - Burning Man would be awesome, but I don't want my house to get all dusted!! ;)

I love this story..  it is super geeky, and a wonderful example of the power of Twitter. :D

Shame we didn't manage to hook up after we got back in port. I'm sure our paths will cross down the road tho!
