We recently completed our 6 month job working for the Grand Canyon Association. Living, working and hiking the Grand Canyon was an amazing experience. We worked 30 hours weekly in exchange for full hookups with elk herds and wildflower views plus hourly pay. I look forward to living in an other national park. Maybe next time I'll volunteer to get more free time (if it is possible to arrange). We highly recommend the Grand Canyon work experience.

Awesome! Was that 30 hrs/week total or per person?? Our biggest issue with workamping has been that we don't have enough time to explore the area.

What exactly were the hookups and how private are their host/volunteer sites? My concerns are the lack of privacy as most workamper jobs I've seen have you packed in like sardines.
