Two years ago, fellow digital nomads Christine & Drew Gilbert, set out to film a documentary about digital nomads working remotely around the world. One of their first stops was Burning Man to camp with Camp Nomadia (the theme camp we run that is generally has bunches of NuRVers) to film. They snagged an interview with us, Sam & Tracy (ZenNomads) and perhaps others.
The documentary is now in the finishing stages of editing. The next step is to get it out there - and they're planning to submit it to film festivals like Sundance. This is costly - as each has application fees, and a physical film must be produced, to the tune of $2500 each.
There's a Kickstarter campaign going on to help fund these costs... and we're asking you today for your help!
Head on over to http://www.thewirelessgeneration.com - watch the preview video of amazing nomads across the world (we're in it too.. teaching a technomad class at Burning Man). If you can pledge to pre-purchase a copy of the documentary, or any of their other reward levels - please please please do!
If you're not familiar with Kickstarter - if they don't meet their funding goal, you don't get charged a penny. And they don't get anything either. And you're not just tossing them money (unless you want to), you're actually pre-purchasing something that you might anyway. It's a fantastic crowdfunding method for helping individuals and small teams complete their projects.
Thank you! And do please help spread the word!
