I recently upgraded my EVDO router from the Kyocera KR-1 to the Cradlepoint MBR1000. What a difference. The Cradlepoint takes a USB or ExpressCard EVDO device, and allows for a wired WAN connection as well. The wireless capabilities are much stronger than the KR-1, and it has 4 ports on the back for wired connections.
The biggest advantage with the Cradlepoint is that I can use VPN through the router, where this was not possible with the KR-1. I still typically use a separate card for my VPN work, but it is nice to have the flexibility now.
On an unrelated note, I solved our shared printer issues with adding a Bluetooth connection on the printer, so now all of my machines connect to the printer that way. So much easier than trying to connect via a LAN connection!
