My mom sent me a link to a pretty cool site called Walk Score. The site focuses on a one mile grid around your location and gives you information on what is available in the area. For those of us that stay in urban campgrounds periodically, this is a great tool to find all the fun things to do with your tennis shoes on :)

Check out the site - put in your address and hit Go. Maybe you will find something cool that you don't have to drive to.

Kev-I checked it out and had a laugh.  My present location is rated worst, after all, I am in the Wet Mountain boondocks.  Miles given were direct, not road miles, so walking anywhere involves 10+miles of over the mountains and through the valleys-------OH DARN!  Nothing like Colorado Rocky Mountains in the summer!  I can see the benefit if one was more urban camped than I happen to be.

haha - my location is considered "worst" as well - and I am about 4 miles from the south tip of San Jose! I put in the address of an RV park we stayed at in New Braunfels, Tx, and found that it was considered a much better score - lots of restaurants and bars withing that one mile area.

I suppose sometimes it is good to be ranked "worst", other times not so bad to be "best". I suppose it depends on how the onboard bar is looking at the time :)
