If this is in the wrong place, feel free to move it.  I wasn't sure where to put this topic.  My husband and I just bought at 34' 13K 5th wheel and a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 truck. Right now we plan to use the trailer 3-4 times a year but we will be going fulltime in the next 2 years or so. We are looking to get a good brake controller.  We have looked at the MaxBrake and Tekonsha P3.  We want something simple and easy to use for newbies to brake controllers, yet safe if and when we would need to make an emergency stop.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you and safe travels!

Hey guys, just saw this. Congrats on your new purchase. As fifth-wheel owners who've had our share of brake controller issues, we'll tell you that this piece of equipment is more critical than we ever imagined...until we burned out our trailer and truck brakes in Colorado.

The latest Escapees magazine has an article about the best ones to get. We strongly suggest getting a digital one, not a pendulum.
