I am thinking on taking the family north to Newfoundland for a visit in Aug-Sept but I was not sure what internet connections are possible (we don't have satelite).  Any advice?

Have never been to the Great White North, but sounds like quite an adventure! Search out NuRVer Cat. Her and Bryan go as far north as PEI each year, so they might have some insight.

You might also try NuNomads.com, as they have quite a following of non-RVing people, and may have some experience up the Bob and Doug McKenzie territory :)
