Fulltimers: Voter Registration and Jury Duty

How do you folks deal with jury duty, if at all? We really want to register to vote at our new domicile, but as fulltimers, we fear that if we do, we'll get called to jury duty from across the country. Then what?

Any of you dealt with this before?

Some counties are a bit more understanding than others about this (from what I gather). Polk county - home of our Escapees address - is pretty cool about it. I understand you just have to call and tell them you are out of the state and they will postpone you for another year - or so. I have heard of others that say that their county doesn't care. "OK - just be back in time".

I wouldn't mind the jury duty, but more on my time. If they sent me a notice and said I have to report within the next six months, game on.

I have not been called yet, but I have only had my Livingston address for a year and a half.

Where is the new domicile? I may be a Floridian by the end of the summer....
