Looking for some interesting places to stop along the way, especially any hot springs - anyone familiar with this route??

the old US hwy 395 on the CA side
a gazillion things worth looking into
dig out your paper Atlas and look for all the little green dots along the road

Have never taken 395 or 95 down from Reno/Tahoe, but there appears to be some awesome things to take in, including the World's Largest Firecracker and the Brothel Art Museum! Dang. I might have to change up my course...
