Bored with the normal New Years plans? How bout mixing it up a little this year by planning on bringing in the NuYear with NuRVers! In the desert!

Plans are under way for an evening of ringing in the NuYear in the Quartzsite desert. This will not be a multi-day official Gathering, but rather desert boondocking with Nu Friends to bring in the NuYear! Come for just the evening, or stay a month!

NuRVers will start to converge on Quartzsite starting just before the end of the year, staying until just after the Big RV Show at the end of January. If you can't make it out for the NuYear Party, be sure to make plans to stop by sometime in January. There will be anywhere between 1 and 50 of us at any one time out there!

Sweeeeeet! Love the idea of a boondocking gathering. We might not be there for New Years but we'll definitely be there sometime in January. Can't wait!!!!

Is there a location? I will be there with the Escapees Solos part of the time.

I just picked up the beast from the lot today, so unless something comes up, sounds like fun to me. Winter sounds like the perfect time to visit the desert :)

Hi Cookie! It will be in LaPosa South. Exact coordinates to be posted soon.

It is easy enough to move around out there. Hope you can join us!

Kev-

We stay at LaPosa Tyson Wash as we find more room to enjoy the desert.  It's great that we can meet and greet after Christmas tree sales.

Awesome! Here is a link to "The Big RV Show". Last year it was OK. It is more spectacle than anything else :)

Cell and internet are rockin out there, except while the big RV show is going on. It is OK, but slows down during the day. I just work later at night when that happens. During the rest of the month the data speeds are awesome.

Looking forward to meeting y'all!

I use two aircards from Verizon, and have been very happy with the service. There are several more data plans available now from various companies, but they all use Sprint or Verizon networks it seems.

Have a look around these forums, as there has been a little discussion on it lately. My Verizon air cards work great out in Quartzsite. Cuz I GOTTA work too!! :)
