About 10 years ago (it feels), Technomadia suggested we make up a website badge for NuRVers.com, so that people can pimp us out on their blogs and sites and such. Well, I finally got one done, and want some feedback!

I have three versions of the design that I feel work on some level, but not sure which one I like best. Let me know what you think.

Version 1 -
badge

Version 2 & 3 & 4 just differ from background or not.

Version 2 -
badge

Version 3 -
badge

Version 4 -

badge

Version 5 -

badge

The idea behind them is to have the look of facing a motorhome straight on, asking the question RUNU? That had been my original idea with #1, but with the URL on there, it doesn't pull it off very well.

Gimme feedback? Which one would you put on YOUR website? Have any other ideas? Are you a graphic artist that can come up with a cooler one?

Bring it -

Woohoo!  Love them!  I can argue either way on the background motorhome or not..

- In one respect, having an RV of any kind totally & quickly conveys that this about RVing visually.

- On the other, I personally don't identify with YOUR rig - or anyone else's honestly - being an image that represents me as a NuRVer (all of our rigs vary in size/age/functionality so much - so it would be difficult to choose any RV image that sums us all up. So if we do go with one - yours, as the founder and webmaster here - is the best choice to go with).

I'd put either version on our website.

One note however, the standard ad size that most of us use on our blogs in this size range (esp those of us with ad widgets) is 125 x 125.

Thanks for doing this :)  Totally excited!!

Thanks for the input Chere! Funny you mentioned MY RV in there - I oft forget that it is mine in that graphic, and think of it as "generic motorhome graphic". But, obviously, it IS my rig!! :)  I just use it by default with branding because it is the only illustration a) that I own and have no copyright issues with, and b) because it is the only high res illustration I have :)

I think I was hoping it would just convey the RV thing, but maybe it is not needed.  I will play around more with the non-background version - maybe put rearview mirrors on the question marks :)

Ideally, if I ever have two nickels to rub together, I can commission a REAL logo and branding with a real designer!! Wouldn't that be a great thing! I may actually have to look at that sooner rather than later, as I have been looking at doing a MAJOR site upgrade here, and new branding might go great with a new site!

Thanks again for your feedback!!

I was half-joking about adding mirrors, but it is kinda cute! Problem is that it falls victim to sizing. Below ~200px it starts falling apart. But, that is true with the above ones too. Might have to shake the Etch-A-Sketch and start again...

Hmm..  maybe do a version with the NuRVers.com centered under the entire image, and using the dots in the "?" as headlights ?? :)
