Welcome to NuRVers, Ralph! This part of the process can be a bit overwhelming - so many pieces of the puzzle to find and put together. Luckily, there is a lot of information readily available on all the different parts.

Two really good resources are RV.net and the Escapees forum - http://www.rvnetwork.com - for basic RV info and fulltiming information. http://www.fulltimefamilies.com/ and http://familiesontheroad.com are both great for the family aspect of nomadic life.

I too am in the research phase.  I don't have any children but I have been looking for insurance plans that will cover me where ever I am.  Unfortunately, I'm finding out that there are plans that cover the southeast, the northeast, midwest and west, but no national plan so far.

For health insurance, Chris and I went with Assurant using their PHCS network of providers. It seems to be fairly nationwide.
