I didn't see a forum specific to "What the Hell Is This and What Do I Do About It?" so I stuck with Motorhomes.

OK, just a couple of days ago I noticed these teeny tiny little black bugs crawling on the floor and now they seem to have migrated to the counters. They are a bit smaller than fleas but not fleas. They don't bite, they don't jump, they just move pretty quickly, and they seem to be all over the galley areas.

Has anyone experienced these, and what are they, and how do I get rid of them? I searched for "little black bugs" and RV and came up with drain flies and fungus gnats but I don't know if I have one or both or neither because I couldn't find a picture.

Help, please 'cause these bugs are creeping me out! [For what it's worth, I cleaned the hell out of the floor, sinks, toilet, I vacuumed and dusted, etc and the little buggers (Hee.) are still here.]

Cheers,

Depends on the part of the country you are living in, but assuming you are north of Kentucky, this time of year is great for spider and clover mites. Spider mites are black, and do exactly what you are talking about. They don't bite or do any damage, but are really annoying. If they squish and smear easily with your thumb, chances are they are indeed spider mites.

I used to work as an exterminator, and during rainy spring/early summer seasons, many people would get these in their motorhomes, as well as their stationary houses. Using bleach water to clean the areas can help, but you may have to use pesticides. Diaznon worked the best, but is no longer sold in most of the U.S. I'm not sure what current over the counter pesticide will work right for you, but if you google spider mites, and believe that is what you have, try a local home and garden center and see what they reccommend for them.

BLOW UP YOUR RV!!  LOL Just kidding...but I despise bugs!  I would seriously consider putting one of those bug bombs in there and leaving for a day or three.  Just make sure you empty and leave all the cabinets open...open the bathroom door, etc...
