At the recent Days of the NĂ¼ II roundtable discussion, we had a brief talk about adding and/or upgrading photovoltaic power systems for RVs. Anyone interested should ask their installer or otherwise investigate available incentives and rebates for solar power components and installations.

The Database of State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency (DSIRE) is a comprehensive source of information on state, local, utility and federal incentives and policies that promote renewable energy and energy efficiency.

Do your homework and save as much as 30% on solar for your rig!

When we added our solar in 2007, I claimed the 30% federal rebate on our taxes. Based on my understanding, our trailer is our sole residence and qualified. It was never audited and it saved us $800.
