We just went to a dealer the other day and were impressed by the OpenRoad 5th Wheel. We assume they are being built for fulltiming as havinga four seasons option as well as a r28 ceiling and r21 floorinsulation. Their rigs compartment doors have an automotive D-seal tokeep out elements and pests. We were impressed with the floorplans andthe features and are considering this one for our fulltiming rig. Thisis a newer rv company and they seem to be setting higher standards.Does anybody know of this company and do you have any opinions on howthey compare with other manufacturers. Their website isopenrangerv.com. Everyone's opinion's and feedback is greatlyappreciated in our journey to find fulltiming rv.
Thanks for reading and hope to hear from you soon.

I have read good things about the Open Road 5th wheels, but of course don't have any direct experience. The seem to be one of the respected 5th wheel manufacturers, and they seem to still be open! That is a big deal these days :)

I would suggest going to rv.net/forums and http://www.rvnetwork.com/ (Escapees forums). They will both have some good information on this builder from people using them.

Also, here is a forum post on RV.net from one of our members. It is very detailed with pictures of some of the things they are going through with their new 5er. Good reading.

I have washboard abs. They are just hidden under 50#s of laundry.

When we were looking for our used 5th Wheel, we ordered the RV ratings guide from rv.org. It really helped us figure out what brands were good for full-timing vs. vacationing.
