Here is another gig that I just found out about...I've read on other boards that some people have made $7000 in the 2-4 weeks that it lasts...we would go but we have a good job going until 9-26...

Hey you're awesome, thanks for posting that. I've always been curious about it but thought they just hired via word of mouth.

Maybe next year we'll go. This year we're gonna enjoy our property in CO for a little while longer, so we can't make it.

We have some friends who just retired and are heading up to the Sugar Beet thing later this week. I'm interested to hear their experience with it.

Know a lady (60+) that did the sugar beets last year.  Due to the weather conditions only got to work 8 days of the 30 she was there.  She cleared $1500 and fully enjoyed it, so she returned this year.  The cold was the worst part, so if you can handle cold, this might be something for you.

My husband & I was going to work in North Dakota this season, but due to family emergency we had to pull out. We asked if we could work day shift over nights, which wasn't a problem, so don't be afraid to ask.  Also the Sugar Beets have lotions from North Dakota all the way to Canada.  Depending on location, will depend on what types of hook-ups and wages you will have.
