I scored an EXCELLENT deal on a MaxxAir TurboMaxx with Thermostat vent fan, with a raincheck for another one at the same price (*happy dance*).  One of my vents already has the old regular MaxxAir fan (the kind that's actually in the vent under the cover), so wiring up the new one to replace that should be a no brainer.

But, my bedroom vent has no fan at all.  What's the best way to get power up there for the new one?

Oh... the rig came with MaxxAir roof vent covers, so I'll have two extras when I'm done with the installs.  Anyone wanna claim them?

I wouldn't mind having one of the roof vent covers, if we can figure out a way to get it to S.D. 

We had a MaxxAir installed in place of a non-powered vent, and the shop patched it into the wiring for the closest ceiling light.  Seems to work just fine.

Hrm... my concern is getting a wire from the light to the vent.  I may pull the nearest light out and see how much slack they left me.  If they left enough to tap into, I can do that.  Thanks for the idea! :)

 

As for the cover, unless you're planning to replace it in the near future, I can hang on to the cover until we can arrange to bump into each other.  I'll probably be on the East coast this year (first stop will be Acadia NP), then down to Florida to stay with the folks for the winter.  Next year is when we're planning on heading west. 

 

Of course, if I bump into any other NuRVers that are headed in your general direction, we can just pass it along until it gets to you.  Our Jeep club does that all the time.  It's not real fast, but we haven't lost anything yet. ;)
