Non-RV Adventures
I program Lotus Notes/Domino applications and web sites. We are currently in San Leandro, CA while I work for a major integrated managed care organization. My interests include geeky computer stuff, programming, 8-tracks, ham radio, eating chicken, retro computing and playing computer games.

People Met On The Road
We've meet lots of cool people... we make friends everywhere we go.... I think it is because of John's sparkling personality and my tater-tot casserole...LOL

Hello, my name is Derek and I am 39. I live with my partner John (34) and Prince the cat (2) in our 2001 Winnebago Ultimate Advantage 40J motor home while we travel from computer consulting job to job. We have been full timer's for almost 3 years.

Favorite Things

Coolest/Suckiest Campgrounds
I like Camp-It in Saugatuk, MI (Gay campground).
I like the State Parks in Illinois - especially Starved Rock and Lowden.
I also like "urban campgrounds" like where we are currently staying in downtown St. Louis, MO.

I dislike campgrounds with lots of kids like KOA.... When a mini-van pulls into the site next to you and the door slides open with screaming children piling out - you know it is going to be a long weekend...

I totally agree with the "Kids" comment. Kids are great but not in the campground near me. There is a gay campground near us called Rainbow Camp I think. Never been. It had some flood damage a couple springs ago so I don't know if it's back up running or not. We pretty much stay in the North East since we need to go to work.8-(  We're going to do a "Walkabout" in the tradition of Crocodile Dundee. This summer we'll take a week to just go and practice fulltiming. No destination, just wander around, Walmart a couple nights maybe. See you guys around the forums!
