What does it mean to be a NuRVer? It means that you can hang out with friends on a Thursday afternoon, overlooking a beautiful river, in a town you would have NEVER visited if you lived in a stick house. That is Nu
I thought of this yesterday while the four of us - Damien and Michelle, Ang and myself - played hookie from our normal responsibilities and spent the day not worrying about stuff. First we drove down to San Antonio to pick up a part for D&M's motorhome, then off to a couple of skateboard shops, in search of a longboard for me. While unsuccessful at the second item, we found much love with the first.
By 2:00, we were back home, working on a buzz, and sitting on the banks of the beautiful river. I was the only one brave enough to go for a swim, as the wind was blowing a bit, and the exit was a bit chilly. I had a great time, however, jumping in at the rapids and floating down to our campsite.
After the dip, I walked in and grabbed my camera, because the line up of chairs and non-working people looking out at the river made me think "this is why we do this".

Thanks for the great day you guys. Now, BACK TO WORK!!!
