Hey gang!                I just found out about the site here and wanted to step in and check it out. Seen a couple of videos on YT. Anyway, we are a family of 3 adults, with one in the 'oven', which is due mid to late Dec.  We just recently purchased a 'new' truck, 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 with the V10. Already set up for slide in and/or pull along campers. It doesn't have a 5th wheel, although we may go that route. Not sure yet. We've been together... Read More

Robi Update - Slab City

I'm still on the planet.  I'm still living Fulltime in my RV.  But for the moment I'm not rolling the wheels.   I decided to stay in Slab City to save money and get the frig fixed, the floors redone, do some eclectic artwork, design a new webpage, design some T-shirts, and see if I can learn how to live off-grid in 110 degree heat with no air-conditioner.OK I cheated yesterday and fired up my generator and had air-conditioning for a couple hours from 4:30-7pm (hottest time).... Change of plans

So it's been awhile since I visited the site here.  Much has changed!The main change on our side is that we have abandoned our RV plans.  We're still going to do a whirlwind tour of the States but we're going to travel light and do it in our car.  We'll camp or catch a motel now and then, plus lots of staying with family and friends.  Looks like 9000 miles and 23 states.  But by the end of this year we will sell our camping gear and probably the car and head for central...
