Caribbean cruises, all inclusive resorts in Mexico and Jamaica and sharing these times with my brother, sister-in-law and best friends on these trips
|
Most people we have met “on the road” have been other runners and triathletes over our 30 year racing career
|
Most of our “stuff” has be oriented towards racing for years like custom built bicycles, watt/torque meters for the bikes that are viewed with handle bar mounted CPU (all downloadable to a computer program for evaluation), aero wheels, bars and helmets, heart rate monitors which include GPS (downloadable), ergometer swim bench with feedback of strokes per minute, watts per arm, time per 100 meters.

My wife, Sue, and I have been married for 41 years. We met almost 45 years ago and that was our first day of high school. We have two grown children and five grandchildren.
Sue has been a bookkeeper in the construction industry for the last 34 years and I have been in the turbine engine industry for the last 34 years, with engineering, management and sales for the last 28 of those years.
Both of us were accomplished runners and triathletes. I have raced 9 marathons along with qualifying races of Lincoln Nebraska marathon and the Marine Corps marathon in D.C. to run the 100th Boston marathon. I have raced 6 Iron distance triathlons and 3 of those were Ironman triathlons, too many half Iron distances to count, along with hundreds of shorter triathlons and hundreds of running races.

Spending time with our kids and grandkids, fishing trips with my wife, sister and brother-in-law

Most campgrounds around Lake Shelbyville, Illinois but our favorites are Opossum Creek, Coon Creek and Lithia Springs. Rend Lake in southern Illinois is also very nice.
